Bachelors Degree

This academic degree is awarded to students after completing all undergraduate coursework related to a major, or specialization — typically 120-128 credits. Earning a bachelor's degree usually takes 3-4 years of full-time study, but can range from 2-6 years depending on the school, part of the world, or number of credits you take each semester.

There are two types of bachelor's degrees: bachelor of arts (B.A.) and bachelor of science (B.S.). Those earning a B.A. tend to focus more on liberal arts coursework, such as the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Earning a B.S. on the other hand, delves into the physical and life sciences, as well as mathematics. However, there are schools that offer a B.A.for all academic programs and those that offer B.S. degrees for arts-related coursework.
